Celebrate the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 21

• January 21, Monday, 2 – 5 pm; Martin Luther King Day Peace March and Community Celebration, Peace March begins at 2 pm at William Hicks Anderson Community Center, 501 N. Madison, Wilmington. The march will end at Be Ready Church, 1411 West 4th. St., where a community celebration will be hosted by Ms. Vanity Constance and Jea Street Jr.

 

 

January 21 – Monday, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Letter from Birmingham Jail  Hosted by: Coalition to Dismantle the New Jim Crow, Newark Branch NAACP, and Newark United Methodist Church. At Newark United Methodist Church  69 East Main Street  Newark, DE 19711. For church lot parking: 62 East Delaware Ave. (This will serve as the Coalition’s Newark Monthly Meeting)

An Evening of Legacy. Dr. Kim and Bill Allen; 2019 BHIM Awards Celebrating Black History In the Making; Mitchell Center for African American Heritage, Delaware Historical Society, 505 N. January 21, Monday, 7 pm  9th Ward Interfaith Coalition, MLK Celebration,with music, readings, & thoughts from our youth on the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. at Peninsula-McCabe UMC, 2200 Baynard Boulevard, Wilmington.
