FirstU Human Rights Task Force Co-Sponsors Hate-Group Program with YWCA


First Unitarian Church’s new Human Rights Task Force has agreed to co-sponsor “How to Challenge Resurgent Hate Groups,” a January 30 program being presented by YWCA Delaware. 
Join YWCA Delaware for a special Investor’s Cabinet event, where a dynamic panel will lead a discussion on how to challenge the rise of hate groups while keeping our basic freedoms intact. Panel includes eyewitnesses to the hate marches in Charlottesville and diverse perspectives from activists, constitutional law scholars and religious leaders.

Erin Daly, Esq. is Professor of Law and co-founder of Dignity Rights Project at Delaware Law School, & has worked internationally on the “right to dignity” and on reconciliation after political upheavals.

Daryle Lamont Jenkins was an eyewitness to the “Alt-Right” rally in Charlottesville, and founder of One People’s Project that tracks and reports on far-Right groups.

Rabbi Malkah Binah Klein traveled to Charlottesville during the demonstrations as part of a delegation of rabbis from T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights. 

Claire Rasmussen, PhD teaches political theory and public law at University of Delaware; her research examines the political and cultural construction of identity, which includes the study of hate groups.
