Inauguration Events at FirstU

Healing the Heart of Democracy

January 19 and 20

On Friday we inaugurate a new President. We here at First U will mark that event by affirming our deepest values.

On Inauguration Eve, January 19, we will gather at 6:30 p.m. for a simple soup supper and then we will hold an all-ages Reaffirmation of the Principles of Unitarian Universalism.

On Friday, January 20, the sanctuary will open at 1:00 p.m. for silent reflection. At 1:30 p.m. we are thrilled to offer a program by Lee Reinert, a trained facilitator in Joanna Macy’s Active Hope and the Work that Reconnects. Dr. Reinert is a long time environmental activist, a Quaker, and an expert in deep ecology. Learn more here

  1. Hi Jeff, I’m sure others have already alerted you that the link to the First U website isn’t working. I surfed around and this is the best intro I’ve found –

I’m planning to attend tomorrow. My level of anxiety is building and I have hope this will help. M
